The teapot is made by a creative and accomplished team called Bian in Jingdezhen, whose potteries feature nature-inspired shape finishing with silver glaze among them. They are devoted to linking pottery with nature like fruit and flower.
The teapot stands out by flat body with silver pattern of diagonal lines. With iron-black as primary glaze, the teapot is applied with silver glaze along with the faint ridges etched into the surface diagonally across the body, which requires more time and patience, offering textural and visual contrast. The lid is shaped into a flower, perfectly fitting with the body. Like other teaware made by Bian, though the teapot has elaborate appearance, the clay is strong and practical in using without much worry of fragility.
The teapot holds approximately 110 ml liquid so that it is perfect for smaller tea occasion . The lightweight body and thin handle makes it a pleasure to hold and pour tea. The multi-hole ball filter in the spout and tight lid sealing ensures smooth pour without drips .For sake of oxidization of silver glaze, we suggest the user to clean the teapot in whole immediately after using instead of keeping overnight.
Please pay attention that as the teapot is not glazed on the inside , we suggest the user of the teapot devotes it to a kind of tea for better “nourishing”. Therefore the taste of tea will be improved gradually after long-term brewing the same tea in the teapot. For these reasons, it shall not be washed using detergents, but rather water only.
