These two flowered teapots are made by a creative and accomplished team called Bian in Jingdezhen (check here to learn about Bian).
These two teapots are shaped in a triangle with a big bottom individually, holding around 140ml liquid which is suitable for any scale of gathering for tea. Here we offer two completely different styles like Prince Charming Black and White.
Teapot A: The body of the teapot is glazed in iron-black primarily before being silvered at the bottom, providing strong visual contrast.
Teapot B: The body of the teapot is silvered in full, with faint black ridges across the body , proving textural contrast.
Both teapots are made with the multi-hole ball filters in the spout, ensuring smooth pour without drips which are proved after potter’s plenty times of trials. For sake of oxidization of silver glaze, we suggest the user clean the teapot in whole immediately after using instead of keeping overnight. Like other teaware made by Bian, though the teapot has an elaborate appearance, the clay used is sturdy and practical in using without much worry of fragility.
Please note that as both teapots are not glazed on the inside , we suggest the user of any teapot devotes it to a kind of tea for better “nourishing”. Therefore the taste of tea will be improved gradually after long-term brewing the same tea in the teapot. For these reasons, it shall not be washed using detergents, but rather water only.
