The silvered teacup is made by a creative and accomplished team called Bian in Jingdezhen (check here to see more about Bian).
Made of ceramic, the teacup is shaped elaborately in the form of a plum flower. It is silvered with a speckled effect of black dots on the outside, providing a stunning visual contrast. The inside is mottled with pastel blue and decorated with wine red at the rim, giving the impression of elegance.
The teacup holds 80ml of liquid. The rim is extremely thin which prevents the fingers from the heat and the lightweight character makes it pleasing to hold. Regardless of delicate appearance, the clay used is strong and practical in using without much worry of fragility.
