Those shino teacups are handmade by a female potter, Fan based in Jingdezhen, who has committed herself to study of shino glaze for 10 years. Her pottery can be mainly divided into two series , one is Moss series and the other is Ink series which are distinguished easily from many shino pieces in the market.
The line of teacups is from Fan’s Moss series. They are made with shino glaze which colors those cups light greenish-yellow with a lovely crackled effect that will deepen through regular use, providing the visual and textural contrast. The overall piece gives the impression of moss in the wild at the first sight. In comparison with other shino pieces in the same kiln, it is rare to take on a large yellow effect on a cup.
The line of teacups approximately holds liquid of 100ml up to the rim individually. The thick wall guarantees the ability to preserve the heat well. Due to the nature of handmade pieces and glazed used, these teacups have a slightly different appearances. There are three sets of two available in stock.
