Set A:a gaiwan + 2 blue flowered teacups
Set B:a gaiwan + 2 blue flower teacups+ a black faircup
The gaiwan is made by a creative and accomplished team called Bian(check here for more about Bian) in Jingdezhen.
The gaiwan is made of ceramic, giving it a refined appearance. Applied with iron black glaze on the outside including the lid and body, each gaiwan has light blue on the inside, providing a significant visual contrast and being aesthetically beautiful. The thin wall of the gaiwan makes it lightweight and metal-like texture. Despite the elaborate appearance, the ceramic is strong and practical in use without much worry of fragility.
The gaiwan holds approximately 110ml of liquid. Pinched out slightly, the rim is extremely thin and easy to pour out the tea, and thin enough to prevent the fingers from the heat as well.
