Those zisha teacups are made by Yu, a free potter based in Jingdezhen (check here to learn more about Yu).
Each teacup features the smoky red surface, formed with zini (purple-red-brown clay mined from Yixing) primarily and coated with yet refined reddish clay (Hongqingshui ), making the teacup feel coarse in hand, while the inside is finished with glossy black glaze, providing the textural and visual contrast. The slender body and double layers of zisha clay give the teacup a contemporary touch, presenting a perfect marriage of tradition and modernity.
The line of teacups approximately holds liquid of 45ml up to the rim individually. The rim is pinched out slightly, allowing pleasure to hold and preventing the hand from heat. Due to the nature of handmade pieces, the appearances of those cups vary slightly different. You will receive any cup selected optionally.
