Set A: a gaiwan +4 cups
Set B: a gaiwan + a faircup +4 cups
The gaiwan is made by a creative and accomplished team called Bian(check here for more about Bian) in Jingdezhen.
The gaiwan is made of ceramic, giving it a refined appearance. Due to the glaze used, the gaiwan stands out for a flamboyant appearance with black stripes running down to the bottom as if a kapok blossom is blooming, providing a soft touch and being aesthetically beautiful. The dark yellow inside gives a significant visual contrast with the outside, making the gaiwan more brilliant. The thin wall of the gaiwan makes it lightweight and a pleasure to hold. Despite the elaborate appearance, the ceramic is strong and practical in using without much worry of fragility.
Each gaiwan holds approximately 170ml of liquid. Pinched out slightly, the rim is extremely thin and easy to pour out the tea, and thin enough to prevent the fingers from the heat as well.
The glazed interior makes all teas available for brewing in the gaiwan. We offer teacups and faircup matching with the gaiwan if you are keen on a set, and please refer to the photos for more details.
See more details of the faircup, please check it here.
