Those shino tea jars are handmade by a female potter, Fan based in Jingdezhen, who has committed herself to study of shino glaze for 10 years. Her pottery can be mainly divided into two series,one is Moss series and the other is Ink series which are both distinguished easily from many shino pieces in the market.
Those tea jars are from Fan’s ink series. They are made with shino glaze which colours those jars with a mottled effect of black on the white, giving the impression of ink dripping in the paper. The overall piece offers extreme discreet elegance. Those jars are also stunning with fine cracks throughout the body, adding another layer of esthetics.
Both jars approximately hold liquid of 230ml up to the rim individually. Each lid is attached with cloth on the inside, providing a high quality of air sealing and allowing to store any tea for short and long term.
