Chinese New Year is the biggest festival in China that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the Chinese calendar. For this reason, we are inspired to design a batch of teacups associated with the traditional element of Chinese New Year celebrations.
Each teacup is hand pained with a different symbolization of New Year. A set includes 4 elements respectively: red packet (paper envelope), traditional gold coin, firecracker, lantern.
Red packet: Red packet is usually used to contain money which established married couples give generally to the younger non-married children of the family, symbolizing good luck and fortune.
Traditional gold coin: Traditional gold coin symbolizes a wish of good wealth and fullness.
