The hand-painted fair cup is completed by two artists in jingdezhen, one to glaze and fire the fair cup intentionally as a normal fair cup is done, the other to paint the scene based on the surface and fire it again at the end.
It is stunning with a scene hand painted over top the grey which depicts a dragon is playing with a fireball in the stormy sky. The dragon is hand painted in fine details from which the expert painting skill can be seen as well as the time spent in working on this piece. Overall workmanship leaves nothing to wish for.
The fair cup holds roughly 140ml of liquid. With a wide opening, the fair cup is good for holding and pouring. As the spout is expertly pinched out, the spout certainly guarantees smooth pour.
