Made of unglazed rough clay , those kyusus remain the coarse texture originated from the clay to the most extent , appearing a natural terracotta surface made up of multiple speckles which seems to be dug just from the clay directly. Each kyusu has several facets around the body which are cut off the wet pot one after another by hand, providing an esthetic enhancement and a contemporary touch . It is simply a marriage of antique and modernity. There are two kyusus available from the same patch, with the appearances varing slightly different. The teapot is able to hold roughly 150ml liquid making it a good option for any scale of the tea session.Multi-holes ball filter strains the tea in the spout which ensures a smooth pour without any drips. Please note that as the teapot is not glazed on the inside , we suggest the user of the teapot devote it to a kind of tea for better “nourishing”. Therefore the taste of tea will be improved gradually after long-term brewing the same tea in the teapot. For these reasons, it shall not be washed using detergents, but rather water only.
