The soda-firing teacup is characterised by the various bright colors which come into being on the surface of unglazed teacup with a reaction between soda and clay in the wood-fired kiln. The appearance of clay moves between various shades of green , blue and dark red, looking like aurora displayed in the sky. The vitrified surface offers nice tactile quality with the pronounced crackles throughout which will deepen with using .The teacup has several facets cut off the wet cup, that run down diagonally from left to right across the cup, being aesthetically beautiful in form and a pleasure to hold.
The teacup approximately holds liquid of 130ml up to the rim separately.Pinched out slightly, the rim has a lovely wave outline, allowing pleasure to hold and preventing the hand from heat, while the thick wall provides good heat preservation quality.
