The two Zisha teapots (purple clay teapot) are handmade by an accomplished potter Gong based in Jingdezhen, who has devoted most of the time to exploring a new world of zisha teapots. The reason why we would like to work with her is that she is trying to discard restriction of tradition and develop new element on zisha teapots. You will be amazed at the renovation from her works of art if you have gone through a lot of zisha pots in the normal market generally.

Made of zhuni (reddish clay) minded from Yixing, those two teapots are characterized by the faint grid-like surface which is created with the assistance of the rope, providing a gentle sense of touch. Functionally, the top of the lid is taller than usual and practical in holding before pouring. They also feature the non-glossy appearances which allow those pots to minimize the distraction and balance out the mass colours in a tea session.

Both teapots hold approximately 165ml and 145ml of liquid with multi-holes ball filter. Medium size is meeting various requirements of quantity of liquid in various occasions . please refer to the photos to confirm the one you are interetered in. Expertly connected into body of pot, the spout is able to embrace smooth pour and sharp stop of pour without drips. Zisha also retains heat well and facilitate the pleasing compounds released from the tea leaf.

Please pay attention that as the teapot is not glazed on the inside, we suggest the user of the teapot devote it to a kind of tea for better “nourishing”. Therefore the taste of tea will be improved gradually after long-term brewing the same tea in the teapot. For these reasons, it shall not be washed using detergents, but rather water only.
