In Chinese culture, there are 12 zodiac animals based on the Chinese lunar calendar in a repeating 12-year cycle. 2021 will be the year of Ox starting from 12, Feb. To celebrate the upcoming Ox year, we design a batch of Ox gaiwan set associated with Chinese new year tradition. Each set is hand-painted with a different theme symbolizing a verity of wishes.
The theme of this set is about a couplet writing Happy New Year. To welcome a new year, people will decorate the door frames with red couplets which are written all about their wishes for a new year,like good health, wealth, happiness and good fortune. What is more, 4 characters are written on the cups separately meaning four seasons in Chinese. We hope this set will pass through a happy and healthy year in company with you.
