Artist: Those fair cups are made by a young potter, FAFA from Jingdezhen, an influential pottery center in the world. Being formed by clay-pinching instead of throwing, his crafts are distinguished by the obvious handmade marks, giving an organic and imperfect appearance. A Fair cup usually plays an important role in the gongfu tea (cha) ceremony which is called “Gong Bei” or “Gong Dao Bei” in Mandarin. It is used to share tea with all participants at the same serving generally during the process of the gongfu tea (cha) ceremony, where the tea is poured from a teapot into a fair up, then from there into several smaller teacups.
