The chawan is made by a creative and accomplished team called Bian in Jingdezhen (check here to see more about Bian).
Made of refined clay , the chawan (tea bowl) appears delicate and feels comfortable in the hand. It is stunning with the golden rim ,giving a significant contrast with the dark green body to offer an esthetic enhancement and discreet elegance. The body is thrown to be extremely thin reflecting Bian’s accomplished skills, making the bowl lightweight and offering pleasure to hold.
The chawan holds roughly 350ml up to the rim and have a dimeter of 14.5cm, perfect size to whisk matcha or engage in the bowl-brewing. The wall of the chawan is thick enough to retain the heat well .
