These silvered cups are made by a young potter, FAFA from Jingdezhen, an influential pottery centre in the world. Being formed by clay-pinching instead of throwing, his crafts are distinguished by the obvious handmade marks, giving an organic and imperfect appearance.
Those cups are textured with hand-carved lines running diagonally from the left to the right. Those cups are glazed in iron-black as a base before being silvered. Then each piece is finished with polishing to make sure each cup feeling smooth in hands. Those cups feature the oxidation of silver glaze, giving a harmonious and balanced appearance to fit with various colors of teaware easily. The inside is speckled with brownish-black spots on the off-white as a result of iron content in the clay, being aesthetically beautiful.
The line of teacups approximately holds liquid of 70ml up to the rim individually. The rim is pinched out slightly, allowing pleasure to hold and preventing the hand from heat. Due to the nature of handmade pieces, the appearances of those cups vary slightly different. You will receive any cup selected optionally.
